(STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich.) - State Rep. Henry Yanez, D-Sterling Heights, endorsed Sterling Heights City Councilman Nate Shannon for the 25th District State House Seat.
“Nate and I share a similar vision for our communities: fixing the crumbling infrastructure, protecting our precious natural resources and ensuring every person has the resources and opportunities they need to be successful,” said Rep. Yanez. “I fully trust Nate to lead the district I’ve proudly served for the last six years.”
Yanez is currently serving his third and final term representing Michigan’s 25th House District, which comprises part of the cities of Sterling Heights and Warren in Macomb County.
“From his commitment to fixing our infrastructure and keeping Michigan’s water pure, to providing mental health funding through House Bill 4528, Rep. Yanez has been a phenomenal State Representative,” said Shannon. “It’s an honor to have his support and trust.”
In addition to sitting on the Sterling Heights City Council, Shannon is a member of the Michigan League’s Elected Officials Academy and the Sterling Heights Regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry. As State Representative, Shannon will fight for quality education, better roads, affordable college and job training, funding that protect the Great Lakes.
