(Sterling Heights, Mich.)-- The Sterling Heights Police Officers Association, Sterling Heights Fire Fighters Local 1557, the Warren Police Officers Association and Warren Firefighters Local 1383 endorsed Nate Shannon for State Representative in Michigan’s 25th District today.
“We are endorsing Nate for State Representative because we trust him to do what is best for our community, the same reason we endorsed him for Sterling Heights City Council in 2017,” said Sterling Heights Police Officers Association Vice President Ken Mercer. “He shares our commitment to public safety and ensuring the welfare of community members.”
Nate is a husband, father and Sterling Heights City Councilman. He works as a teacher in the L’Anse Creuse School District, and is a member of the Michigan Education Association and the Sierra Club. When elected, Shannon will prioritize education, infrastructure, protecting the Great Lakes and restoring local control in the 25th District.
“We believe Nate will continue to honorably serve the citizens of Michigan, and the interests of the men and women employed in the Fire and Emergency Medical Services,” said Warren Firefighters Local 1383 Secretary Joe Roth.
The Warren Police Officers Association, Sterling Heights Police Officers Association and the Warren Firefighters Local 1383 joins State Rep. Henry Yanez, Rep. John Chirkun, Rep. Patrick Green, Plumbers Local 98, UNITE HERE Local 24 and UA Local 363 to endorse Shannon for State Representative.
