The Michigan Regional Council of Carpenters and Millwrights (MRCC) and the Michigan Building and Construction Trades Council endorsed Nate Shannon for State Representative today.
“We are pleased to endorse Nate’s candidacy in Michigan’s 25th House District,” said Michigan Building and Construction Trades Council Secretary Patrick Devlin. “We support candidates who embrace the goals of working people and organized labor. We know we can count on Nate to represent our members in Lansing.”
Shannon is a public school teacher and Sterling Heights City Councilman working to build a stronger Michigan. When elected, Shannon will prioritize public education funding, protecting Michigan’s environment and creating good-paying jobs through affordable college and skilled job training.
“It’s an honor to have the support of these unions and their hardworking members,” Shannon said. “We share a similar vision for Michigan’s working families: a living wage, access to quality healthcare and the opportunity to secure a good-paying job through skilled trades training and apprenticeship programs.”
